pocketknife

this is a chris reeve sebenza (small size)...looks like a nice clean little folder...i've been looking for an everyday carry knife...i used to carry a cutco and a small swiss army knife...unfortunately several years back, for some reason they were in my work bag and i didn't know i put it in there...i found out at the airport security check in when they kept scanning my bag...they pulled out the knives, and they took them...i was not pleased...stopped carrying one since then...

the knife store in the mall had it in stock, so i went to take a look...opens pretty smoothly and seemed sharp...i couldn't test it on anything...definitely a knife i would carry, and they're nicknamed seb...perfect knife for me if they weren't $300 plus dollars...ridiculous...a simple knife like this for that much money...i abuse knives...use them not just to cut stuff but as flathead screwdrivers, wedges, choppers...everything you shouldn't do, so no way i can spend that much money on knife...i went the complete opposite route and bought a $1 walmart folder...literally 1 dollar...i've been using it for a couple weeks, and it's already chipped...used it to cut tie straps while i was up in the ceiling taking down wireless access points (my job stinks)...because the wap was tied on to some thick gauge wire and i was way up on a ladder (i have the balancing ability of a 2 year old with an ear infection), i couldn't hold it firmly to cut the strap, so i just wedged it in a gap within the strap's loop and torqued it to the side...not a good use of knives, but it was sharp enough and strong enough to cut it...some minor chipping, but much more than i expected from a one dollar knife...and if it breaks, i can get another...the sebenza will be another one of those things i'll get when i win the lotto
