you can see towards the back where the black curtains are...those were where the panels were held...i wasn't sure what these tables were, but it looked like role playing with figures...table wars
the show was a mix of everything...comics, horror, tattooing, old celebrities, collectibles, artists, writers, cosplay, and steam punk...i'm not sure what steam punk is or why it's so popular, but there were a lot of people checking out that stuff...there was one cool pumpkin booth...the guy carves whatever you want into an artificial pumpkin...the buffy one is pretty good...needs a firefly one
didn't get to see elvira...she wasn't at the booth, and i think she was planning to show up only for her photo-op and signing session...stan lee was the most popular guest...i saw marina sirtis (played deanna troi on star trek: the next generation) but didn't want to pay $10 bucks for a photo ($40 bucks for an autograph)...she seems to be aging well unlike many of the actors i saw there
there wasn't anything that i wanted to get, but the california browncoats had a small booth there...i picked up a firefly mug for the office
some random cosplayers

based on the turn out, my guess would be that they'll have another one next year...it makes sense to have a large comic convention in los angeles or orange county...next up is wonder con, but tickets haven't gone sale yet for that show
