before and after photos of the kitchen faucet that took about 8 hours of cursing and contortioning (it's a word now if it wasn't before) to replace, because there wasn't enough to room to loosen the nuts...6 hours to get the old one out, and about 2 hours to install the new one, including a trip to home depot..

i didn't like the idea of paint chips falling into my dishes, so i replaced it |
picture of the space under the sink...
 |
this is the narrow space where I had to try to use a wrench to loosen the nut...this is after i already put in the new faucet, so the nut isn't there |
 |
space under the sink where i had to lie on my side or back to reach up to the space behind the sink well |
 |
bought this basin wrench but was completely useless |
the installation of the new faucet was pretty straightforward, but i ran into a problem with the existing connection line and the new fangled "quick connect" lines from the faucet, which required a trip to home depot to get a couple adapters...apparently, home depot only has one worker who knows anything after 7 pm, because it took me about 30 minutes just to find someone...then i ran into an issue with my water filter connection, which increased the installation time some more...i had some leaks initially, but seems to be okay now after applying a thicker taping of the thread seal...
i think sinks should be built on rotating platforms...that way you can rotate the sink and get access to the back from the front...i will need to submit a patent...
next up will be fixing the door to my laundry room...
